The weather contributed a refreshing light drizzle throughout the afternoon but this did not dampen the vigour of leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn who addressed the gathered crowds in Hyde Park to huge applause. He promised the next Labour government would create a ministry to guarantee workers’ rights. He accused the Conservative government of cutting public spending while protecting those who dodge taxes. “We will give workers more power, by strengthening their rights and freedoms to organise together to improve their lives...”
